Central America

Located in the central region of the Americas, Central America includes 7 countries – Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Belize, and Panama. Guatemala is the most populated country with over 11 millions residents. Central America is touched by three bodies of water, the Pacific Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico. Probably the most recognized item of Central America is the Panama Canal. The Panama Canal is the primary ship canal that connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Not only does the canal provide a key component in worldwide trade, but has a tremendous regional economic impact.
