Georgia located directly north of Florida is bordered by four other states including Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama. Southern Georgia gives way to the Appalachian Mountain range in the north which encompasses mountain terrain. Atlanta is the state’s capital, but also has informally become known at the commerce capital of the entire southeast. Industries that call Atlanta home include communications, industry transportation, and tourism. Companies within these industries include Home Depot, Coca Cola, and Delta Airlines to name a few. Other large cities in the state include August, Savannah, Columbus, and Macon.
