"Rental Alerts" is a free service provided by RentalAds.com that emails renters when new rentals are listed on RentalAds.com that match their rental property desires. Renters can specify their desired location by specifying a city and state. They can also give their alerts a name, select what types of properties that are interested in being notified for as well as a price range. Other options include the number of bedrooms and bathrooms their preferred rental property has. Pet owners can further specify if the landlord allows cats and/or dogs (pet friendly rentals). Tenants with Section 8 housing vouchers can specify to be notified when new section 8 housing is added as well. Another feature that increases the likelihood of finding a rental is to be included in the "Renter Want Ads" section. This section of the website allows landlords to browse the ads and contact tenants directly. The renter can write a detailed description of what exactly they are looking for in a rental. The "Rental Alerts" system also allows renters to specify a date for when they no longer want to be contacted about new listings posted on RentalAds.com. This keeps the Rental Alert system accurate, up-to-date and targeted to only those renters who want to be contacted. |
