Arizona has been one of the most popular locations for long-term rentals over the past ten years. A lot of this has to do with the combination of amenities and affordable pricing. You can look at many different areas in Arizona when it comes to great deals on long-term rentals, but your best option will most likely begin with the city of Mesa.

Mesa is only 20 miles east of Phoenix. Therefore, you're going to have easy access to many different attractions. That said, Mesa is home to many of its own impressive attractions. These include the Mesa Arts Center, the Mesa Amphitheatre, the Mesa Arizona Tempe, the Arizona Museum for Youth, the Mesa Historical Museum, the Arizona Museum of Natural History, the Mesa Grand Ruins, Golfland Sunsplash and Park of the Canals. As you can see, there is a lot to do, and this doesn't even include shopping and dining options.

Mesa is enormous in size with over 132 square miles. It's the largest suburb in the United States, and it's divided into East and West sections, which go by the names of East and West Mesa. Three streets are known for dividing Mesa into these East and West sections, which are Center Street, Mesa Drive and Country Club Drive. The West side is home to Fiesta Mall and Mesa Riverview. The former has large department stores and the latter is an outdoor retail center with restaurants and smaller shops. The East side is home to Superstition Springs Center, which has an outdoor amphitheatre, theatres and large department stores.

When it comes to living conditions, the East side has been around longer and is known for being a little wealthier. The West side is newer and offers more affordable long-term rentals. Most of these long-term rentals are houses or town homes. Some come fully furnished and some don't. If you're looking for new and cheap homes, then consider looking south of I-10 from around 115th Avenue East. This area is known for offering quality long-term renal homes.

If you want an easy commute, look closer downtown. This is where you will find many long-term apartment rentals. If you would like to rent a home yet you still want an easy commute, then your best bet will be Goodyear or Pebble Creek. If you want to live amongst lakes and canals, then look at Arrowhead South or Garden Lakes. The former is higher end and the latter will offer great prices.

If you're concerned about employment, don't be. Mesa is home to many big employers, which include Mesa Public Schools, Banner Health, Boeing, City of Mesa, Mesa Community College, Wal-Mart, Empire Southwest and County of Maricopa.

Another advantage to renting in Mesa is the weather. The average temperature in January is 67 degrees. Therefore, you will really have to worry about being cold.

Mesa has experienced a marginal increase in population year over year. The population has only increased 10 percent over the past decade. To see an increase is a positive sign, but this increase isn't too large that it will lead to overpopulation. Overall, Mesa is the ideal location for someone to rent a home, apartment or condo.
