Nestled in the heart of the American South, Atlanta is the capital of Georgia, and home to more than five million people. The city serves as the headquarters for many Fortune 500 companies, and is also an important cultural center. With its bustling economy, unique local identity, and warm temperatures year round, it comes as little surprise that Atlanta is constantly growing and gaining new residents.

For those who have never before called Atlanta home, finding the right residence can prove a bit challenging. Fortunately, there are plenty of incredible neighborhoods to investigate and different rental options available. From high-rise condos in downtown Atlanta, to comfortable family homes in the city's suburbs, Atlanta has something to offer everyone.

Downtown Atlanta serves as the largest commercial district in the region, and is home to many tourist attractions and sporting arenas. Georgia Tech University is also located downtown, making this area a perfect rental destination for students to consider. Downtown is broken into several smaller neighborhoods, including Castleberry Hill, SoNo, and Five Points. Castleberry Hill offers residents a small town feel, with many loft apartments and small townhouses. SoNo is an area undergoing revitalization efforts, and could be a great place for those looking for Section 8 housing options in Atlanta.

Some of the student residences in Downtown Atlanta come fully furnished, which could be of particular use to those who do not have many personal belongings. These long-term housing solutions should require very little by way of renovation, and can present an attractive option for renters who would rather not purchase furniture. Many of these residences are not only open to students, but to anyone looking for a rental property.

Midtown is another major commercial area in Atlanta proper, and is home to several cultural attractions. From the Museum of Design Atlanta to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, there is no shortage of the arts in this bustling area. Nearby Ansley Park is home to many upscale rental properties and homes, while Atlantic Station provides residents with a more urban feel.

Atlanta residents are fortunate to have many different dog parks available at their disposal, making the city a dog owner's dream. Finding a pet-friendly rental can sometimes prove challenging, though many of the condo rentals are available to those with pets. It can also pay to consider houses outside of Atlanta proper, as there may be less demand for rentals in those locations.

Atlanta's East Side contains most of the cities residences, with individual neighborhoods including Oakland, Edgewood, and Grant Park. Renters can expect to find affordable homes and rooms to rent in these area. There may also be mobile homes available in certain places, which may be cheaper than more traditional forms of housing.

With its many diverse neighborhoods and incredible identity, it comes as little wonder that Atlanta is such a popular destination. The many choices available to renters means it should be relatively easy to find a new home here. Enjoying the capital in style has truly never been easier.
