The Best Rental Neighborhoods in Columbus

COLUMBUS: OVERVIEW
As the capital city of Ohio, Columbus is both large and well-known. A very "balanced" city, Columbus offers a large, well-proportioned mixture of educational, medical, residential, and recreational venues, including several renowned hospitals, the Ohio State University, and several professional sports teams, the Buckeyes and Blue Jackets among them.

COLUMBUS: THE VIBE
While not as flashy as Miami, or as hip as New York City, Columbus offers its own unique feel, and a very resident-friendly atmosphere. The city's individual neighborhoods do a lot to promote this feeling of belonging, so if you'd like to learn more about some of the best places to rent in Columbus, just keep reading.

COLUMBUS: BEST RENTAL NEIGHBORHOODS

GERMAN VILLAGE:
German Village is a very historic, very in-demand neighborhood, with residents both old and new taking a lot of pride and care in the upkeep and atmosphere of their community. This neighborhood is so popular in part because of its location just south of downtown, but that isn't its only draw. In fact, one of the most popular attractions German Village has to offer, for reasons you can probably imagine, is its still-operational brewery. Other notable places include the town's many gardens, preserved historical sites, and even some of the old restored homes themselves, some of which are over a century old, and which serve as excellent examples of classical architecture.

WESTERVILLE:
Westerville is a much sought-after suburb of Columbus. It is full of history, character, and for the young - or not so young! - professional, job opportunities, which can be found in the city's many hospitals, schools, and other such institutions. Home to Otterbein University, several historic Underground Railroad stops, and plenty of things to see and do, Westerville is not only Columbus' largest suburb, but also its best.

OLD TOWNE EAST:
If Columbus has a bohemian neighborhood, this is definitely it. Old Towne East is an artist's mecca, with a firm reputation as a great home for writers, painters, sculptors, and anyone else with an artistic bent. Old Towne East is located near German Village and slightly south of downtown, and has one of the most welcoming atmospheres for pedestrians in the greater metropolitan area. A great "walkability" index, lots of green space, and the friendly people themselves make this neighborhood a great rental option. Speaking of which, the social and cultural climate here is quite diverse, which most people like, but some shy away from. Plan accordingly. Additionally, there are plenty of schools, hospitals, and other important buildings, as well as a good public transport network, which makes getting into the city at large a snap.

BEXLEY:
Not a lot needs to be said here. If you want exclusivity in Columbus, Bexley is where you should go. Located east of Columbus, this neighborhood is mainly the province of the well to do, with all the fine dining, art galleries, and high-end shops that go with that. There are also top-shelf schools to be had, for those with children.

Columbus really is a great place to rent, with a neighborhood to suit all tastes. Check out our properties today!
