El Paso has an enormous land area of over 250 square miles. This leads to many different types of areas for long-term renters. For example, if you want to live in the lap of luxury and you're capable of paying for it, then you need to look into home rentals in Northwest El Paso. Here you can enjoy a house on a hill. Another affluent area that's a great option for rental homes or townhouses is East El Paso. The views here are also excellent. If you want to live in a historical area where duplexes are available, then consider Sunset Heights. For apartment rentals, look near the downtown area. If you're a military family, then you will feel most comfortable in Northeast El Paso. If you want to rent near UTEP, then consider West Central El Paso. For affordable mobile home and apartment rentals, look at Mission Valley.

Regardless of where you choose to live in El Paso, you will have easy access to many different attractions. These attractions include a dozen museums, where the themes are archeology, Native American pottery, art, history, science, border patrol, transportation and more. There are three theaters, one of which is outdoors. That theater can be found at McKelligan Canyon, which also offers 90 acres of hiking and picnicking opportunities. The biggest park in El Paso, however, is Franklin Mountain State Park. This is actually the largest urban park in the country with over 24,000 acres of land. In addition to all these features, there are six arenas. They host a long list of events, including UTEP college football games, the Sun Bowl, soccer matches, basketball games, boxing matches, concerts, graduation ceremonies, wrestling, hockey and arena football.

El Paso is home to many employers. These employers include the El Paso Independent School District, Fort Bliss, the Ysleta Independent School District, the City of El Paso, the Socorro Independent School District, the Sierra Providence Health Network, El Paso Community College, Wal-Mart and El Paso County.

The average high temperate for El Paso in January is 58.3 degrees. The average high temperature in July is 95.4 degrees. Snow is possible in the winter, especially at the higher elevations. The summers are hot, but it's a very dry heat so you don't feel it nearly as much as you would in a humid area. The official elevation for El Paso is 3,800 feet. However, North Franklin Mountain reaches as high as 7,192 feet. The average rainfall per year is only 9.4 inches and there are 302 days of sunshine per year, which is why El Paso is known as The Sun City.

If El Paso sounds like the perfect place for you, then consider looking to all options as soon as possible. This is especially the case if you want to rent an apartment in a location that makes for an easy commute to downtown. These areas include Anthony and Sunland Park.

The population for El Paso is over 650,000 people. This might sound like a lot, but it's actually a smaller population given the enormous land area.
