Seattle is a gorgeous, cosmopolitan city perched on the edge of the Puget Sound. Though the weather here tends to be gray and rainy, residents also enjoy many sunny, cloudless days. In fact, many locals have even come to enjoy the rainy days, something it may take new residents some time to adjust to. Rain aside, Seattle residents enjoy many outdoor activities. They also have access to a lively nightlife and arts scene. Great attractions like Pike Place Market and the Space Needle mean that there is always something fun to do here.

Making the adjustment to being a Seattle resident is easier in the right rental house. Seattle boasts many attractive neighborhoods. Some are located in the urban bustle of downtown, while others are removed from this center. Rental homes may be located in any of these neighborhoods, and prospective renters should view many properties before making a choice.

In Seattle, some renters are able to find a house that features a lovely view. This view may be of the Puget Sound, Lake Washington, Mt. Rainier or the peaks of the Olympic Mountains. Any rental home that features one of these views is bound to be desirable. Look for oversized picture windows and soaring ceilings to help fully appreciate this beautiful amenity. Of course, any rental home that features a spectacular view is likely to cost a great deal more in rental payments, so renters for whom a view is not high on the list of priorities would do better to look elsewhere.

Homes located near Seattle's downtown district are likely to command a higher rental price than those located in the suburbs. Before simply deciding that a cheaper rental payment is more desirable, renters should consider additional costs involved with living farther away from the city center. If the renter's place of work is in downtown, then it may be worthwhile to spend more money on rent to save a long commute. Though its rush hour does not quite rival that of Los Angeles and other major cities, Seattle's residents are experiencing longer commute times than they have in the past, and this can seriously affect quality of life.

Rental homes are available throughout the Seattle metropolitan area. Some are small, one bedroom homes, but others are equipped with several baths and bedrooms and can accommodate a large family. Consumers will find some properties that are rented fully furnished, which can be a smart alternative for people without a lot of personal belongings.

Living in Seattle grants excellent quality of life. With the right rental house, residents can enjoy the amenities and space they require to make the most of everything the Pacific Northwest offers.
