Hawaii offers perhaps the most diverse and expansive amount of listings of cabin rentals of any location in the United States. Each Hawaiin island offers very unique properties, features and price ranges.

Cabins in Hawaii range from the traditional small rustic wooden cabin located high in the mountains of Kauai to large multiple thousand square feet luxury villas on the beach in placed such as Maui.

Each of the main vacation islands; Oahu, Kauai, Hawaii, Maui, Lanai and Molokai all have cabins for rent in all price ranges and amenities with rural or more urban type locations.

Most of the cabins for rent are individually owned and are rented on a per night basis. Some properties will have multiple units available. However, most locations will be single family occupancy. Occasionally, working farms on some of the islands have guest accommodations available for rent. Most rentals will have minimum stays usually at least 3 days or a week and some will rent for a minimum of a month. Cleaning fees and security deposits will vary as well as up front deposits at the time of reservations.

Accommodation locales will vary from more isolated cabins nestled up in the mountains surrounding the Waimea Canyon on Kauai, to the beach front locations on Oahu and Maui. The more rural settings will also include beach front locations on all the islands and the proximity to grocery stores and general shopping will vary greatly as will the quality of the roads to and from the cabins.

On any of the islands a cabin can be anything from a one room studio type plan on a small ground plot to a four or five bedroom multi-level structure with patio, pool and spa, direct beach access and extensive private grounds. Furnishings will also vary from truly basic to luxurious.

Despite Hawaii's warm climate that enables outdoor beach activities like snorkeling, swimming, boating, and hiking to be enjoyed year round however, there are "low" and "high" seasons as to accommodation availability and rates. While each property may vary, generally from May through September is considered the "high" season and rates will be higher with less availability.

Cabins for rent especially in Hawaii can be so varied that it is very important to have definite expectations as to type of accommodation, access to activities and access to shopping, privacy and cost. Once the expectations are defined, Hawaii and its islands can offer a cabin rental that not only meets but far exceeds those expectations.
